How to Convert USDT ERC20 to TRC20 on Binance
Binance is one of the most popular methods for converting USDT ERC20 to TRC20, thanks to its deep liquidity and support for both network standards. The process uses Binance as an intermediary — you deposit your ERC20 USDT, and withdraw as TRC20 USDT to your desired wallet.
Step 1: Log in to Your Binance Account
Access your Binance account at binance.com. Ensure your identity verification (KYC) is complete before attempting any deposits or withdrawals.
Step 2: Deposit USDT via ERC20 Network
Navigate to Wallet → Fiat and Spot. Search for USDT and click Deposit. On the deposit screen, select the ERC20 (Ethereum) network. Copy the generated deposit address and send your ERC20 USDT from your Ethereum wallet to this address.
Step 3: Wait for Confirmation
Binance requires a minimum number of Ethereum network confirmations before crediting your account. This typically takes 5–15 minutes depending on Ethereum network congestion at the time of the transaction.
Step 4: Withdraw USDT via TRC20 Network
Once your USDT balance is credited, click Withdraw on the USDT asset. Enter your TRC20 destination wallet address (a TronLink wallet or exchange wallet supporting TRC20). Select the TRC20 (Tron) network as the withdrawal network. Confirm the transaction and submit.
Fees on Binance
Binance charges a flat withdrawal fee for TRC20 USDT transfers. The ERC20 deposit is free on Binance's end, but you pay Ethereum gas fees from your sending wallet. The TRC20 withdrawal fee on Binance is typically around 1 USDT, significantly cheaper than Ethereum-based transfers.
Important Warning
Never select the wrong network when depositing. Sending USDT ERC20 tokens to a TRC20 deposit address (or vice versa) can result in permanent loss of funds. Always double-check the network selection before confirming any transaction.
